Terms of service

The terms for using our website and for our Christmas light installation services.

Last updated October 21, 2026

1. Who we are

Brilliance Lighting ("Brilliance Lighting," "we," "us") designs, installs, maintains, removes and stores holiday lighting in the San Antonio, Texas area. These terms apply when you use brilliancelightingtx.com, request an estimate, book a visit, or buy our services. By doing any of those, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Estimates and quotes

  • Prices from our online estimator and designer are estimates based on what you tell us. Your final price is confirmed after a free on-site assessment.
  • Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless the quote says otherwise.
  • Design previews and photo renderings are illustrations. Your installed display may look different because of your home, weather and lighting conditions.

3. Deposits, booking and payment

  • A deposit reserves your installation date and is applied toward your total. Deposits are not refundable.
  • The remaining balance is due as shown on your invoice, unless you are on a payment plan.
  • Online card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • If you cancel after your installation, the full price of your service is still owed.

4. Payment plans

We may offer qualifying customers 3, 6 or 12 monthly payments. Each plan has its own agreement that you review and sign electronically before paying, and you receive a copy by email. Plans include:

  • The same price as paying in full, with no interest (0% annual percentage rate, $0 finance charge).
  • Email reminders before each payment, an invoice on each due date, and a receipt for every payment.
  • A one-time $30 late fee on any payment not received within 48 hours of its due date. You can pay it right away or it is added to your next payment.
  • If a payment is more than 60 days late and we have not received a payment or heard from you in that time, the plan ends, the full remaining balance is due immediately, and we may stop providing service and refer the balance for collection.
  • If you cancel before installation, any deposit is not refunded and other plan payments are refunded. If you cancel after installation, the full plan balance is still owed.
  • Automatic card payments are optional and only happen if you separately sign an automatic payment authorization. You can cancel automatic payments by calling or emailing us at least 3 days before a due date.

If your signed plan agreement and these terms differ, your signed plan agreement controls for that plan.

5. The lights and equipment

  • Our lights, clips, timers, cords and other equipment remain the property of Brilliance Lighting. They are provided as part of our seasonal service.
  • Please don't remove, move or change the display yourself. Call us and we'll take care of it.
  • We remove your display during our takedown window, normally the first two weeks of January, and store it for you until the next season.

6. Installation, access and scheduling

  • Our install window normally runs from October 15 through Thanksgiving week. We confirm your specific date after your quote is accepted.
  • You agree to give our crews safe access to the areas being decorated and to an outdoor power source, and to tell us about anything we should know, such as fragile surfaces, pets, gate codes or HOA rules. We can send our insurance certificate to your HOA on request.
  • We may reschedule installation, maintenance or takedown for weather or safety. We'll contact you to set a new time.

7. Maintenance

Your service includes mid season maintenance. If a bulb or section goes out, contact us and we'll fix it at no charge.

8. Our responsibility

Our crews are licensed and insured, including general liability and workers' compensation. To the fullest extent allowed by Texas law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot be limited under Texas law.

9. Using our website

  • Use the website only for lawful purposes and only with information that is yours or that you have permission to share.
  • Don't try to access accounts, pages or data that aren't yours, or interfere with how the site works.
  • The photos, designs, text and logos on this site belong to Brilliance Lighting or are used with permission.
  • If you have an account, keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for activity on your account.

10. Electronic communications and signatures

You agree that we can send you notices, invoices, receipts and agreements by email, and that typing your name to accept an agreement on our website is your electronic signature. You can ask for a paper copy of any agreement at any time.

11. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Bexar County, Texas. We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect a service or payment plan you already agreed to.
